Paying for beats or not?
There should be some type of mandatory checkbox that say's something along the lines of "Are you willing to pay for beats or not?".
It would save both parties a lot of time if they both know what they want out of the deal. Whether it be a serious artist shopping for beats to use on a official release or somebody doing A&R work for an artist or label that isn't going to pay out of their pocket.
Say if a producer is only interested in selling beats for profit then they don't have to worry about sending beats to…
2 votesAnother great suggestion – thank you!
I can imagine how frustrating it is sending beats and then the artist wanting them for free.
When we list requests we tend to skip over artists that say they’re looking for free beats but a lot don’t bother saying which leads to this situation.
What I always recommend is sending snippets or tagged beats, if the request says no snippets / no tags then just skip over it.
Something like this will be added as we looking to change up the way artists make requests and how they are shown.

Producer: Mark Requests as "Beats Sent"
"Maybe add some way to check requests as "beats sent"
kind of like you would mark an email as "read"." from BeatsByNate.20 votes -

There will probably be a Twitter sign in option. Hoping to connect Soundcloud, Dropbox, Google Drive etc. accounts so you can import beats from their to send.

Production protection
Guaranteed protection for Producers that sends beats to artist that they won't be mishandled.
1 voteHey,
What protection would you like? The best guarantee of protection is to copyright your beats before sending them to anyone.
To save yourself some money wait until you have a collection of beats to copyright and then do them all at once.
Best wishes,

More Genres
Artists from all type of genres, not just Rap, Trap, R&B.
1 voteHey C-Ram,
Thanks for the suggestion! We do our best to vary genres but we can only go by what is shared.
Best wishes,

Mandatory genre checkbox
There should be a drop down menu for which genre of beats the artists are looking for, whether it be death metal or trap beats.
It's difficult when some artists ask for beats, and there could be around 25 beat requests, and out of those 25, only 6 of those artists will feature the type of beats that the they are searching for.
The problem arises when only TWO of those 6 beat requests clearly state which genres they're looking for specifically, and the other FOUR will say something along the lines of:
"Rick Ross type beats, Pitbull type beats,…2 votesThanks for the suggestion Desert!
I get what you’re saying and understand where you’re coming from.
We’re going to be doing away with the current system and switch to a tagging system as suggested by Desoulbel – https://sendbeatsto.uservoice.com/admin/forums/224099-feedback/suggestions/4531886-adding-request-requirements – or something similar, which will also make it easier to find requests looking for specific genres.
For now: In the daily email we’ll move the ones that specify a genre to the top and the ones that don’t to the bottom.

Music Credentials
from Desoulbel:
"For artists pages, maybe adding a music credentials list. This way it
gives a producer a way of seeing what an artist's qualifications are if
they aren't already familiar with them."from @DopeBeatsSK:
"oh yeah that's dope , like a WITH PAST PRODUCTION FROM section to bait them to let us know if they actually work with ppl, not sure how it can be implemented , maybe on the page where they set up the track request or if they create a profile"2 votesThis sounds like a good idea… sort of a “career highlights”?

Real Name & Stage Name
from Desoulbel:
"Maybe adding the option to display both a real name & stage or
publishing/label name? It may make a bit more sense for companies or
artists who work under real names as well. Like 50 Cent (Curtis Jackson) or LA Reid (Atlantic Records, LLC). "2 votesSo, like an “Alternative Name”?
Would this be shown everywhere or only on select request? -
Adding Request: Requirements
from Desoulbel:
"For the requirements, maybe it would look better if they were more
like Wordpress tags. Automatically formatting into a bullet list after each
comma on profile pages?"0 votesI understand that a bulleted list format for requirements would be easier to read and follow for producers.
I’ll leave the idea here to see how other artists/labels/beat requesters use it.
